Welcome to Scone Tennis Club
The 2017 summer tennis competitive season is now nearly finished but we are still looking forward to lots of tennis over the coming months as we continue to play outdoors through the winter and indoors for the Winter League. The courts are being kept thoroughly cleaned – many thanks are due to Douglas and Paul – and have been in good playing condition for the competitive season.
Dates covering coaching sessions till the end of the year have been agreed with the Winter Coaching Block starting on 23rd October, see the Coaching page for details.
The Club Championships Finals took place on Sunday 17th September. Congratulations to all our winners and those who took part. Many thanks to the match tie organisers – Marcin for the juniors and Stephen Newall for the adults. See the Facebook and Events pages for photos of participants and winners.
The Committee has set up a Social Calendar of monthly events, one for Adults and one for Juniors, which will hopefully suit everyone. Immediately forthcoming is the Junior Halloween Party on Sunday 29th October from 2pm to 4pm and the adult End of Season Meal on Friday 17th November at Kisa’s in Perth. Go to the Events page to find out more. On an ongoing weekly basis there are social tennis sessions for all on Friday evenings from 7pm onwards and Saturday afternoons from 1 to 3pm – just turn up and play!
Scone Tennis Club AGM 2017 - Sunday 5 November starting at 1pm. Please note the early start date which is to allow families who want to attend Guy Fawkes events. Social tennis will precede the formal meeting and will start at 10am.
The headings at the top of this page give all our categories of news and information. We are a Scottish Charity, SCO33915, and as an active community resource we try to cater for all ages and standards. We would love to see you at our Clubmark / Tennismark accredited club.
We run a number of Adult and Junior teams in the season giving plenty of competitive options throughout the year with activities most nights. Non members can access the courts by collecting a key from the Spar shop up the road and paying a visitor fee. Much more information is available on this website but if you have a question that has not been answered then contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org . We look forward to seeing you!
